If we’re measuring success, satisfaction, and fulfillment in any area of our lives on a scale of 1-10, we all want a 10, right? I have never met anyone who said, “Nah, I just want level 7 health. I don’t want to be too healthy or have too much energy”. Or, “You know, I am really okay with level 5 relationship. I don’t really mind fighting with my significant other, not having my needs met, and I definitely don’t want us to be one of those couples who are so happy that we annoy other couples”.

The Miracle Morning is the most practical, results-oriented, and effective method I have ever encountered for improving any- or every area of my life and doing so faster than you probably even believe is possible. It has been widely-regarded as “one of the most life changing books ever written” may be the simplest approach to achieving everything you’ve ever thought possible!

It is highly recommended if you want to get the most out of your life. All about the 6 habits that will transform your life before 8am.

One day, I found this book, the Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod, and I instantly fell in love with it. I read the book several times and until now I live by it.

First of all, Hal’s personal life story is fascinating. He was able to recover from a difficult phase in his life and use that to inspire other people.

In the book, he discussed three main things:

  • Always look at the bigger picture
  • Does not matter how many hours of sleep you get each night but how you feel in the morning
  • It is important to have a pre-morning routine

1: Bigger picture

Albert Einstein once said, “There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

Life, really, is how you see it. If something happens to us, we are quick to think that it is bad luck, or our day is ruined. Wrong.

The same thing goes with our choices in out every day life. For example, eating healthy. “Oh, I’ll make today a cheat day because I am craving for some chocolate cake”. If you look at it closely, it looks fine because it is just one day out of seven, but looking at the bigger picture, this can ruin your weekly progress, and further, you’re more likely to do it again and again.

Always choose the right thing over the easy thing.

2: Quality over quantity

Like I said, it doesn’t matter if you have a full 8 hours or just 2 hours of sleep. What really matters is how you make the most out of it.

For example, you have a lot of work to do so you pulled an all-nighter and slept at 4am. When you wake up at 6am to get ready, you have 2 choices: feel tired and miserable because you only had 2 hours of sleep, or feel refreshed because you got 2 hours of sleep.

“Every day you and I wake up, we face the same universal challenge: to overcome mediocrity and live to our own potential”.

3: Pre-morning routine

What’s the best way to wake up early? Set an alarm, place it somewhere out of reach so you don’t hit the snooze button, and have a pre-morning routine.

Pre-morning routine is basically what you can do to keep you from hopping back in your comfy bed and get you started with your day.

You can do the following:

  • Brush your teeth
  • Wash your face
  • Drink water
  • Wear your workout clothes, etc.

Aside from these three important points, Hal also shared his secret, the SAVERS Routine.

S – Silence

Take even a minute or two out of your morning to be in silence. Keep all your electronic gadgets away. Meditate. Pray.

A – Affirmation

Give yourself a pat in the back. Say, “I can do it. Today will be great!” Doing this can motivate you to work harder throughout the day.

V – Visualization

Use this time to think of how you can achieve your goals for today and the future. It’s kind of a step-by-step visualization of how you can conquer your day.

E – Exercise

Dedicate even a few minutes of the first hour of your morning to exercise. Do some stretching, yoga, jogging, jumping jacks, etc.

R – Reading

Alter exercising and while resting, try to read the newspaper, a few pages from your current favorite book or magazine, or an article online.
This will widen your knowledge, and even set your mood for the better.

S – Scribing

If you have a journal, then good. If you don’t, you might want to get one. Any notebook will do. Use it to plan your day ahead.
This will help you visualize what you need to accomplish.
