How can I manage my time?

It’s very important to be very focused in your work and prioritizing it.

Previous I have talked about the Most Important Tasks. Create a list every morning with your top three Most Important Tasks, I call them MIT’s. The most important task must be tasks that are helping moving your business forward towards your goals, more profit, power and prosperity.

Put the MIT’s on the top of your agenda, put them in front of you on your desk, on your door, or on your wall so that you can see them all day long – to help where your focus must be.

You must focus on how to generate this profit and business results, to reach your goals.

Another thing that is very beneficial to do to increase productivity is to create a “Stop Doing list”.

And by that I mean; that you always will have some task or activities that will “steal” your time:

I.e. Maybe you have a friend who has a birthday. You log into Facebook because you want to send them a happy birthday message. But before you know it 20 or 30 minutes have passed because your attention was on other things and suddently you were read al kinds of things on Facebook, liking or commenting on something.

Then you spend 20 or 30 minutes on Facebook.

Even though it was not what you planned to do.

So your “Stop doing list” can be something like :

  • Stop social media during your work time.
  • Turn off email because if you have emails coming in then maybe you feel tempted to answer these emails instead of finishing the job you’re doing.

It’s very important to have this focus on your MIT’s and the focus is – of course more easy to keep – if you remove all these distracting things

  • Remove popups so you don’t get popups every time somebody comments on Skype.
  • Remove Messenger or what ever kind of pop-ups which are disturning you
  • Or put yourself offline from these medias.

That’s super important.

So your MIT’s and your “stop doing list” are very good places to start to increase your productivity.

I hope these tips will increase your productivity and you will enjoy it

Lise Gottlieb
